Description:

As a retail assistant, duties include handling sales and restocking of merchandise, assisting with season set-up and clean-up, and completing corresponding paperwork. Retail assistants act as ambassadors for the Festival, as well as a customer service and information center for patrons. Students can expect to work 35-40 hours per week during the summer season, with hours then being limited to 20 hours per week once school begins.

Position begins on June 3, 2019 with season preparation work. Between June 3 and previews on June 21, retail assistants will work about 20 hours per week, with short 4-hour work days Mon-Fri. After this, regular 40 hour work weeks will begin. The season will end October 12, and retail assistants will be expected to assist with strike in order to break down the shop and organize remaining inventory between October 13-19.
